Joan Sutherland performs the “Salut à la France” from Donizetti’s La fille du regiment. I’m guessing this is from the early 1970s:
From the 1972 Met Opera tribute to the retiring Sir Rudolf Bing, Sutherland and Luciano Pavarotti perform “Ah! Verrano a te sull’aure” from Donizetti’s Lucia di Lammermoor.
Courtesy of the Parterre Box website, a complete performance of Jules Massenet’s Esclarmonde from the San Francisco Opera, November 8, 1974. Joan Sutherland (Esclarmonde), Clifford Grant (The Emperor Phorcas), Huguette Tourangeau (Parseis), William Harness (Eneas), Giacomo Aragall (The Chevalier Roland), Philip Booth (Cleomer, King of France), Robert Kerns (The Bishop of Blois), Gary Burgess (Saracen envoy / Byzantine herald).
